Just a warning.
I wouldn't trust someone who claims to be able to help out the project massively and claims to have really good contacts, when they can't apparently type in easily understandable English, they are very vague, and they go by the name of 'moonshineman'.
No offense meant, but it's not the best first impression. I wouldn't be surprised if everything they say is just not true and would just slow the project down.
But, I may be wrong, and I apologise deeply if I am. Just be cautious DD.
Ignore me if you want...

Totally with OrangeRakoon on that point. I also got that impression. If he's got so high contacts, and all the shiny Hollywood-access, he wouldn't be on a free-hosted proboards forum which is all about a non-profit fan-film (or?)... It would sound more... Reliable ? I think that's the word for it.. , if he would have done a different approach. Possibly mentioned who these contacts are. How he know them. Etc. To me, this sounds like bullnuts. (Sorry for language if some here take that kind of thing badly, heh)

I was worried that you'd take offence. I think what OrangeRakoon meant was that... well, think of it from our point of view. You'v come on and posted that you know all these actors, which is completly possible and i'm actually inclined to believe you on that point, but then you'v gone and posted it with effectivly no grammer, and... well, i think that seems a littel suspect at the very least to a few of us. I mean, we might all be in the wrong and you might just have dyslexia or something, in which case i can only apologise, but from where i'm standing, it seems unlikely. If this was a short film, then i think it wouldo be quiet possible for a more "accomplished" actor to join our film, if it only meant that they would be spendig two days at most on it, but for a feature length (as we're planning) that'd require at least a couple of weeks... i doubt that they'd choose an unpayed job over employment on a proffesional large production film, tbh. But i'll bare it in mind, thanks for your thought at the very least.

And his name is jonny depp, not deep. Sorry... Anyway, I'm not sure. If it's true, then I'm extatic. If not, I'm slightly dissapointed. I'm not really concentrating right now because I'm listening to really annoying music, so it's blocking out the signals from my brain, so it's up to you guys at the moment. *Edit* Ok, the musics gone, so I can concentrate. Anyway, if it's true then I'm personally very excited. If it is true then I'm sorry we caused you offense. Anyway, I think if the movie had someone like Orlando Bloom in, then I think people would really take this film seriously. On the other hand, i can't imagine him being in something as low level as this (As composer said).

A few weeks back I spent a day with a conductor whom also played violin in the orchestra that performed the music for the Lord of The Rings trilogy. We played a duet, me on piano, him on violin. Then we talked about how we both think the LoTR music were kinda disappointing. (This was all in the session break of course, as I and some other musicians had invitations to a closed practicing session for the Norwegian symphony orchestra.) Just thought I'd randomly mention that, as it was quite entertaining. I mean, as we're talking about people in higher places. And man I loved that guys English-accent. I want that accent Secondly, I know people in higher places too. Sean Beeson for example, whom was at the conference-bench at the Game Developers Conference just recently. There he talked alongside with Martin O'Donnell, and other composers such as Jason Hayes (Not sure if Jason were there, just an example. Marty was there though! Wish I coulda met him....) Sean and I talk pretty much daily, he's sort of my "teacher". Oh, and he's even promised me free haircuts from his wife when I'm to study at University down there in three years. (as she works with hair-cutting thing.. What do you call that in English? ) BUT my point is; How does that help these guys with their fan film? None. Well, except from what I learn from people which can improve my music and compositions, heh. I am aware much of these points above are either random or un-necessary, but as pretty much all normal folks, I can't help "brag" with somethings I'm really proud/happy about. I'm not afraid to admit that I love to brag As in the points in earlier posts, who would pay for Bloom's flight ticket, hotel, food, income so he can pay bills, etc? The ONLY possible case would be that Bloom has a incredibly insane interest in Zelda fan-films, and thanks no to his current million-dollar paying jobs, just to act in a non-profit movie. He'd be pretty much in the situation like me. Wanted to be a part of it as I really love Zelda, rather addicted. So couldn't stay away.

Yeah, from what i gather people from away from England either love the accent or hate it. But then again thats just what i gather from various sources and isn't first hand "thats my opinion" kinda thing. So i could be wrong. I'll just keep quiet about that now, i can feel myself starting to ramble. XD A place where you get your hair cut? Well, its either gonna be a hair dressers, or a barbers, depending upon... something (i'm not entirely sure what the difference is as they both do the same job now. I think it used to be that a barber was more into shaving and did other things besides, such as facial hair, but i think they'v become the same thing over the years). But yeah, a hair dressers or barbers... which ever you like the sound of. As for the rest of what you said... tbh i didn't quite realise you were so well associated with so many great composers, i thought you were just sort of... i dunno, a freelancer or... actually, i don't know what i thought of you as, now iv' thought about it. Just a composer who had expressed an intrest in composing for our film, i guess. But i thin your right about us getting anyone truly famous involved, and i stand by what i said: if it was a short film, which would likely only require a weekend of thier time, then there is a possibility. As it is, it'd probably be a good few weeks that they would have to be involved, and a good few weeks of unpaid work isn't overly desirable compared to a few months of payed work. At least, from my opinion at least.

I didn't mean any offence. Like cincalov said, just look at it from our point of view. While there is every chance that you are telling the truth, there is also every chance that you're just some hoaxer. The first impression I got made me swing towards the latter option. For the reasons previously stated, I can't see an actor such as Orlando Bloom in this movie... unless of course he was an insane Zelda fan. But I'm no expert. That's your job (supposedly ) On another note, i think the LOTR music was great. Maybe not as good as star wars (original trilogy, obviously) or Jurassic park, but still great. Shame about the vitally flawed storyline. What with the eagles being able to fly and therefore being able to take the ring to mount doom and destroy it. Then again, one can not simply FLY into mordor ;D Composer, how good are you on piano? (I'm guessing very good here ) I ask only because I'm curious, as I'm hopefully doing my Grade 8 at christmas. Apparently, hairdresses are for women whereas Barbers are for men. But I don't know anyone who still goes by this rule. Finally, the locations on the site look awesome. There is enough left of the ruins so that actors can succesfully act, and the rest can be computer-magiced in.

No offence moonshineman, but i'm unsure about this subject in matter. You're a new member, you have a unique style of sentance structure and out of the blue you say " I know *XXX actor*, and he'll love to help in this film". Now if you ask me this whole concept is...Unbelieveable. the fist thing that comes to mind is that "why would a famous,well-paid actor would come and work with a small fan-film project about a game?" and secondly as composer mentioned above " who going to pay for all these actor(s) food, lodging etc. Im sorry but I not believing this for one minute!

Composer, how good are you on piano? (I'm guessing very good here ) I ask only because I'm curious, as I'm hopefully doing my Grade 8 at christmas. You'll probably get to hear that soon. I have rented a recording session in a music-hall with a really wonderful piano on March 12th, Wednesday. I'll be playing some piano-pieces for two movies, Truman & Madison Street Boys. The Truman is actually just a re-score from my side, cause I'm not happy with the first one. It'll be available for you to watch in not so long from now. You can read about Madison Street Boys @ www.madisonstreetboys.com. You'll probably notice Sean Beeson is currently noted as composer at the site, but that's cause Andrew and the gang are way too busy with the movie to bother about the site. Sean is my "teacher" as I mentioned earlier. Or, a colleague. Info: I just noticed the MSB website is temporarily offline. If I would place a bet, Andrew is putting the new site up 'n running. At least I think I noticed he was working on a new one. -T.G.
