Hey folks! Thought I'd share some news with you about me!
This week I received an invitation to a festival called "The Amandus Festival", located here in Norway. There awards are being handed out to several categories. Sort of like Oscars. This is the Norwegian version of Oscars, you could call it.
I am a member of a community made for young Nordic filmmakers. In the charge of that are some of the famous directors, animators, the whole thing, you can find in Scandinavia. For example the director of the film "Fritt Vilt", which was a huge success in Norway.
Now they want me, as a composer, and three other people from that community, probably a director, a screen writer and an actor, or something, to participate.
Participate with what?
We will have a session where the four of us will have a meeting with the people in charge of everything. There we'll discuss what can be done better/differently, make plans for the future, and bring up ideas.
Later on they want me on a Question & Answer session, where people can ask and I will answer. That's about music in general I'd assume... Heh. So if you're from Scandinavia, I'll be in Lillehammer March 12th if you want to meet me.
As I said, it's an invitation. I've sent message that I can participate now. Waiting for confirmation.
Just thought it'd be somewhat interesting to hear.
News # 2! (Which also is more relevant to you guys).
If you didn't know already, my studio is still *under construction*. Though the good news is, it's soon finished! I have 2900 $ now, 3000 is what I need for the rest of my studio.
When that happens, my music in general will be improved 30x times. That's not an exaggeration.
Here are some samples made by exactly the same studio I will have in a month or two:
Sample #1: www.tommygundersen.net/music/samples/action.mp3
This next sample is by Sean Beeson, my "teacher" as I've mentioned in earlier posts. One of the first soundtracks I heard from him.
www.tommygundersen.net/music/samples/soullessplains.mp3
Another one by Sean:
www.tommygundersen.net/music/samples/highnoon.mp3
NOTICE : These soundtracks are for LISTENING ONLY!
When the studio is finished, my desktop is worth about 8.000$.
Peace!
