Stock blood is looks controlled. A mix of two is useful. And it'll probably be more fun for the actors. Not true. Blood stock footage is made to happen only one way, however the creator made it so. But... But i feel it would be far better to use a mix of both, rather than relying on one. This would be the far better way to go.

The topic is pretty much over.
Everyone agrees with mild blood and swearing.

What did you give that cookie to tyranitar for? like he deserves it. Even my level 100 one couldn't pwn you all those years ago! Now you making me wish I live closer to you guys T~T Well thats easy enough. Just use the command visor to control your gunship to land in salisbury. You'll be here in no time! (Super death? Sounds violent)

And DD, Tyranitars main downfall was that it was on G/S, where Crunch (its big, bad move) was special. And Tyranitar aint too hot with special moves. And his only decent rock attack would have been rockslide, and you wouldnt get any defensive raise from a sandstorm... so, dont blame Tyranitar. Its not his fault, but the fact that he was just on (whats now) quite a primitave game. Dont get me wrong, Silver is my favourite along with Diamond, but in terms of how battling (and Tyranitars abilities) are, Diamond wins.

Actually the Archer fingers thing isn't true, probably. On QI a while ago they were saying how it was a common myth and I've heard it loads of times before. I don't remember where it actually came from but it defintly has very little or no historical context. On the other hand it's the most mild and best looking hand gesture of all so if you want to use it I say go ahead. Swearing I agree very mild and blood mix for effect as long as not ott.

I'v been thinking this whole thing over quite abit, particuly as i write the battle scenes. I think there shoudl be a fair bit of blood, but limited gore (ie; cut open people, slabs of meat showing from inside a person, that sort of area). I don't know about you lot but i thikn blood, so long as its used correctly, is relativly fine, its the more gory stuff that ofetn comes with blood that puts people off it.

I think that you should go with blodd, but little gore. For example, after a battle you would want and expect to see the soldiers walking off in blood stained, sweaty clothes and armour, with a lot of dirt as well. What you don't want to see is someone limping off with their arm dangling by a tendon, and their fingers completely mangled, or someone dead on the floor with a gaping gole in their chest.
If the weapons are still in the body though, it's no where near as bad (and looks good while being much easier to do than fake gore). For example, all you need to do is get an arrow without the end on it, stick it upright on someones back, and stain the clothes around it red. It would look like they had an arrow protruding from their back, but wouldn't be particularly gory.

Someone being torn apart by a massive monster on-screen.
